Our date difference calculator uses the JavaScript Date object for accurate calendar math. In Days Between mode, it computes the absolute difference between two dates in milliseconds and converts to days. In Add/Subtract mode, it adds or subtracts the specified number of days from your chosen date, automatically adjusting for month lengths and leap years.

How many days are in a year?

A standard year has 365 days. A leap year (every 4 years, except century years not divisible by 400) has 366 days with an extra day on February 29.

How many weekdays are there between two dates?

To find weekdays, calculate the total days, divide by 7 to find full weeks (5 weekdays each), and add remaining weekdays. Our date calculator shows total days; for weekdays you can subtract weekends manually.

What is the difference between calendar days and business days?

Calendar days include all days of the week. Business days exclude weekends and sometimes holidays. This calculator shows calendar days.
